Amy Wheaton is a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years of experience specialising in child and adolescent mental health and well-being. Along with working as Senior School Psychologist at Brigidine College, St. Ives for many years, Amy has worked for UNSW’s Counselling and Psychological Services unit and as Young Adult Program Coordinator for Pioneer Clubhouse - a mental health rehab centre on the northern beaches.
Amy is currently in private practice in Frenchs Forest where she works with children and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, behavioural issues and family breakdown. She is passionate about assisting these young people and their families to bring order and light out of the chaos and darkness that these issues can often bring, and is very familiar with the challenges these issues pose to the parenting journey. Amy also works with schools in providing psychoeducational talks and workshops, consultation, and supervision of school psychologists.
Amy meets regularly with the gathering at St. Matthews church in Manly. She is married with a young family, and enjoys surfing the local waves in her spare time.
